The first major Bag From Gucci’s new creative director has arrived
When Gucci appointed Alessandro Michele, formerly Gucci’s head of accessories, to be its new creative director, we were excited to see what was to come for the brand’s bags. Alessandro already had a vast understanding of Gucci accessories, and the fit seemed perfect. However, his first runway show wasn’t filled with bags; instead Alessandro choose to focus on one major style to send down the runway.
That bag has now arrived in stores, and it’s called the interlocking shoulder Bag, as well as the Linea B medium GG-Clasp. There are plenty of renditions and a few size options as well, and while this bag isn’t over the top, its sleek lines and clean design are both fashion-forward and beautiful.
There a few colors, but the pink and turquoise are my favorite, and both contrast with silver-tone hardware. Gucci is known for paying attention to detail, and it shows on this bag, with hand-painted edges and manual stitching detail. The stand-out feature of the bag is the flap front with a classic interlocking G closure, which has a very iconic feel to it.
This is one of those bags that doesn’t need much explanation, and the final product is just right. You know I have a soft spot for Gucci, and as I’ve looked at this bag a bit more, I’ve fallen for it. shop Pre-Fall Gucci bags via Neiman Marcus online.
